Geraldine Song

Geraldine Song published her first book To Thee Do We Cry Poor Banished Children (3 Plays) in Singapore in 2010. One of her plays, ‘Mosaic’ was staged in Singapore in 2011. In 2013, Alterity Productions staged a double-bill featuring two of her plays, ‘Nurhalizah’ and ‘Mosaic’. 

 

Geraldine is also interested in editing creative works and in 2011 she co-edited Opening Our Hearts: Sharings of Parents of Children with Down Syndrome, published by The Down Syndrome Association of Singapore. She intends to co-edit a book of ten-minute plays written by promising young Singaporean playwrights.  Her forthcoming book Semoga Bahagia will be released at the end of 2013. She is currently writing a new play titled Misprision. 

 

Geraldine has a day job as a lecturer at Nanyang Technological University and holds a doctorate in English Literature with a thesis on Robert Browning. Amongst her circle however, she is known as a professional inebriate with a pontianak laugh.
