This is a "joint-venture" between Horizon Publishing Group and the Author(s).
Horizon Publishing Group will publish any original, outstanding and of high quality work under the "First Scenario". We are always looking for such material to make it a great success.
However, it is practically impossible, of course, that Horizon Publishing Group would be able to publish all works received from all authors. Financial and other risks are eminent in the publishing market. Thus, it would be misleading to say that all works will be published at Horizon Publishing Group's own expenses. We are not here, in the publishing business, to mislead or to provide authors with unsubstantiated or false hopes. We are in the publishing business with high calibre professionals and ethical principles to guide, assist, and help authors to see their works published and available to readers in Australia and/or across the Globe.
Accordingly, in the Second Scenario, when HPG finds that for a reason or the other, and at its discretion, it cannot take the financial risks of publishing the work, the Author will be advised in writing as to whether s/he would be interested in a "Partnership-Publishing" under the "Second Scenario" to publish her/his work.
Royalties paid to author(s) under this scenario are much higher than those paid for traditional publishing.
The "Second Scenario" involves the following:
- Under this scenario, Horizon Publishing Group will offer the author(s) to publish the work, whether in Australia and New Zealand only or worldwide.*
- Horizon Publishing Group will fund 50% of the total costs of the publishing and marketing the finished product, the book.
- The author(s) participates in the costs with a 50% of the same total costs.
- Horizon Publishing Group will endeavour to bring the work to its highest level of publishable standard.
The rest is the same as traditional publishing.
* Worldwide in the current context is: Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States of America and Canada.
